About the Poem
I wish i can do something more constructive other than pen hollow words. My words are sincere and well-meaning, yet they must seem inadequate and insignificant to those who are still trying to fathom the grave consequences of this madness.
For the Americans: I wish them well.
A Rictameter Prayer For The Americans |
by Heng Kaile |
the fragile heart be bestowed quiet strength Not be devoured by bitterness The mind rid of torturing images Left to react decisively Aided by tender peace Earnest wishes I pray |

I loved your poem, Heng. It's still hard for us Americans to get over the full blow of September 11th, but it's people like you that really bring that extra comfort. Thank you so much. God bless you.

It is so amazing how often the simplist words say the most. Heng's words of faith, hope and encouragement that we overcome the pain with the message of peace and love for all. I wish all could hear and believe in these great words.
