About the Poem
This poem came to me in the middle of a conference. Funny how that happens! My friend didn't get the significance but I hope you guys will. It's about our relationship to animals and in a quirky way it's about how we rely on and expect nature to keep things going when we're asleep.

As Day becomes Night, Nocturnal animals awaken. While we crawl into bed Their feet leave tiny patterns in the sand. |
