About the Poem
This poem was written on my favorite word, "revelation," a word meaning "a vision" and embraces the love for my favorite sport - winterguard (the combination of flags, silks, rifles and sabers on a dance floor to recorded music as a competition!).
My World |
by Ashley Williams |
Look and see, Beautiful wonders, Born of mixing colors, A heaven-sent creation, My revelation. Dancing or playing, Shaping the music, Giving it form like a Joyous bird's migration, It's a revelation. Silks spinning, Jumping as if alive. Making a formation, The revelation. Hard clack of a rifle catch, Smacking in time, Unbound animation, Our revelation. Flash of sabers, Hilts whirl into the air, Reflecting shimmers of light. Not without motivation, A revelation. Means vision, That's just what it is, A vision. Revelation! A seeing from God, Revelation! Falling from the light, It is my revelation, My sight of hope, Whisper of love. Revelation. |
