About the Poem

I am eight years old. I wrote this poem when my uncle died and I was sad and missing him.

Pimmery Colors

Blue is the sea
Blue is the sky
Red is blood
Blood you shall die
Gold is Heaven
Gold is joy
Blue and Gold
are the best colors in Heaven.

Im sorry for the loss of your uncle. This poem is very strong to me because it is coming from someone so young.

There is a haunting innocence in this poem that because of the age of the writer makes it true. Heaven as described in the poem is a place where all colors are. There is red, blue and gold among others. Red is associated with death in the poem. So naturally, and with an unintentional insight, gold and blue are the best colors because they are not associated with death. They represent the sky and the sea and what is in heaven. Amazing how youth has that touch.

Even though you are only 8, this is a very lovely poem. As long as you write what is in your heart you have a poem. Thank you for letting the world and your uncle know the way you felt.

For being young you are a good writer and you have talent don't let anybody tell you that you can't write because you can and you showed it with this poem that you wrote at a very hard time of your life
