About the Poem

My grandfather died a couple of years ago and this poem I wrote has somewhat to do with him, especially the last two lines.

There Had To Be A Last Time

There had to be a last time,
I sat on my Grandpa's lap to play horse and rider.
There had to be a last time,
I had my parents cut up my food.
There had to be a last time,
I played with my Barbie's.
There had to be a last time,
I rode my bike with training wheels.
There had to be a last time,
I saw my Pa Pa D.D.'s smile.
Why did there have to be a last time?
There just had to be a last time.
