About the Poem

I wrote this after my Grandfather died, that was 6 years ago, I guess it still hurts. Mostly because I never got to say good-bye.

Grandfather

I died inside,
Yet I didn't show,
How I felt,
When it was your time to go.

I bottled it up,
I hid it away,
I didn't get,
To say what I needed to say.

It is finally spring,
I am starting to grow,
I met a man who needs me,
Never to go,

Just as I needed you,
But I have known,
That we are through,
This you have shown.

You were not here,
To stay,
You left me,
You went away.

amazing. amazing. I was only in 2nd grade when my only grandfather died, i'm 13 now, and boy, it seems like it just happened 2 seconds ago! (I still remember that day exactly too)

I like this poem because a couple of years ago I lost my grandfather because he had cancer it was caused by his smoking habbits and he never really talked to us but he was the best because he loved us. And sometimes I wonder about my other grandpa because of his back problems. I love them and they love me and you don't need words to tell them that just how you act to them.
