About the Poem

Although I still love her, I had learned I could live without her as my partner.

Then, one night we spent time out with friends. As her friend, I wrote this poem. I hope you enjoy it...

Your Gift

Here`s to the times
Both good and bad,
Times you helped me smile
When I was down or sad .

Midnight coffee,
Motorbike rides,
To TATTOOS and the pain it hides.

Snuggle warm hugs and passionate kisses,
Day dreams, night dreams and heart-felt wishes.
Comfort found, in the arms of each other
at times, little sister and me big brother.

Of reliving the past,
Yearning for the future,
Old memories and scars to care for and nurture,
Red roses and cats so free,
These moments and more
Your gift to me

I, too, had a love that I thought would last forever. It didn't last. It took me a long time to get to where this poem talks about. But I'm there. Thank You for sharing this with me.
