About the Poem

This is a poem about the beginning and ending of marriage.

Stephanie

There once was Stephanie who lived all alone
She only had a television, a radio and a phone
But then she ate two apples , which both taste the same
Then out came a brown boy whose' name was James

James was cute, happy as can be
He love to kick ball and climb the apple tree
We went to the park to see the duck
along came a man whose' name was Chuck

They were all so happy, jolly and glee
There were many ducks for all to see
Years went by and they all had fun
Wedding bells were ringing and a family begun

There were no diamonds, gold or fur
But by the grace of God there came Jennifer
So, so cute, timid and small
She look so long but yet so tall

Now there's one TV, no phone, a radio without sound
No house, no laughter, no wedding gown
A different school, address and job
A different environment, tax , and tears to sob

A new beginning came their way
Relocated to Maryland is where they pray
Without Chuck, the apple tree and all
No more tears, no place to fall

For this new beginning is such a treat
There is no way I can fall I must stand on my feet.
