About the Poem
I wrote this poem while in the first stages of a relationship, where his very words made me fuzzy and warm inside. The colors are used to express emptiness turned to warm joy. They represent a transformation, put into action by this Knight of Warmth.
A Knight In Fire's Armor |
by Marcela |
Entering the castle, ice crystals safe from dawn, I am drawn to the cold, perhaps fire beyond. Numb, my fingers cry, in search of comforting heat, Past silver statues, amethyst angels, crystal wings, I follow the ghastly Queen. At her throne, I bow, head low and tired, sinking into blackness, then suddenly--the fire! Your warmth is my knight, flames on ice ablaze, On to the valley, bright with kings, Past the copper statues, ruby angels, golden wings. |

Normally I am not much for poems, but I had stumbled upon this one while searching for a poem for my girlfriend, and it absolutely blew me away. I LOVE IT but then again me and my girlfriend were allways suckers for anything to do with fantasy whether it be pictures or poems. My compliments to the writer
