About the Poem

This poem is about being in love and how it overpowers and affects me.

Visions Of You

Melt me down like heat on ice
Sweet is actually bitter
Suffocating through this mess
These flames are burning my flesh
Let me die on the inside
Don't let me slip from your mind
Tear the black velvet away
My mind has visions of you
The rose has a few petals
Tears eat me like a disease
Winds whisper lies in my ears
I have a piece of your heart
Your face looks cold when I'm gone
Broken glass over the floor
A sharp needle through my hand
Exploded parts of the sun
The day got so much brighter
When I had visions of you
