About the Poem
I am 62 years of age and married for 42 of those wonderful years. My wife Jean is 60. We have four children and eight grandkids, one of which is now married herself.
I have been writing the odd poem for some years now never really knowing if they were any good or a load of dribble? Maybe this will put me in my place. It wont stop me, though. 'Cause Jean likes them...
Reflections On Reality |
by Ray Collings |
The hardest thought with loving you is one of loss. The strongest pain in loving you, is the fear of nothingness. Who in this overcrowded world, Could fill the empty void, if made to wander mind disturbed without you by my side? Life started with you, so shall end. Memories power pulling strong, Would make existence all alone, Purgatory, underestimate. So, where there's life, My Love and I Will live it to its full, Well nourish, feed, protect, preserve. With the greatest tenderness. |
