About the Poem
At one point or another in our lives we all encounter a love that will never be. We accept this reality and move on with our lives. But even when you have realized you'll never be with that person physically, they stay with you in your memories.

| Every day I look forward to seeing you Just to pretend that I don't care. You are my inspiration and obsession My life with you I want to share. I want to look into your beautiful eyes And tell you what I feel for you. I want to see your lovely smile And hope that you will want me too. I dream of one day holding you in my arms. That you'll feel my passion, And I hold the key to your heart. Your gorgeous face I want to touch. To hold you close, My dear love. Yet... there is something I must realize A trick that life has played on me Today I must accept That you don't belong to me. Days will come and go And you will never know My love for you I will always hold. A day will come When our different ways we'll go But life must go on. One thing I shall promise you I swear upon earth and heaven You'll be with me In my memories forever. |
