About the Poem
This poem was written as an attempt to put into words how I think I will feel on my wedding day. As I do not know who is to be my bride, she is the woman of my dreams.
I Had A Dream |
by Wes |
I had a dream I soared the skies Soared the heavens where the eagle flies Such freedom gained, happiness, joy This day I turned to man from boy This day she veiled, walked down the aisle This day she made my whole being smile This day she said she'd always be mine This day the church bells, for us, chimed That night I felt the softest kiss That moment to treasure, those moments of bliss That time we shared, my sweetest day That time I knew where my heart could stay And then I woke, and wished it to be true I wished the woman of my dreams was you! |
