About the Poem

For the past 2 years I have been going through a very intense relationship. It is an "on-and-off" relationship. It seems as if he only has time to be in a relationship with me when it's convenient for him.

Every time I think our relationship is over, he comes back into my life. We’ve always kept in touch, and always share our feelings. He was my first love, and for that I’ll never forget him.

Now And Then

Constant toying with my brain

Then we’re through
I’m not even sure what I’m going to do
Did you think about me too?
This isn’t the end
Was that pretend?
Many letters to you I write
Do you read them in bed at night?
I’m mad that
I’m happy
For once again I’m not sure
What it’s all about anymore
You’re forgiven
All’s forgotten
Until you do it again
I want you always
Not just now and then
