About the Poem
Life gets more confusing everyday, and that confusion spills over into our personal lives. We can't decide who we want, when we want them, or anything else.
Can we truly love, and yet not really decide to? Make a choice. Make it now.
Take Me or Go |

Need an answer to my question Have to have something more concrete "Maybe" is a scary word And so is "perhaps" Allows you sweet escape Entraps me in dread Don't do this to me again Be my lover or be my friend You came out of nowhere And charmed me away Now I'm longing for you Take me, or go I remember when I learned to know you Your spirit's perilous I took next steps gingerly And tried to build trust When I looked in your eyes I thought I understood But I realize you are hiding And can't stand another hurt You came out of nowhere And charmed me away Now I'm longing for you Take me, or go I've been patient for too long And forgot what fire is What about my fears Of being cast aside We could be much braver Instead of silent Unless life alters really soon I'll pack a bag and leave You came out of nowhere And charmed me away Now I'm longing for you Take me, or go. |
