My heart aches within from missing you,
My lips long for the feel of kissing you,
Right now all I need is to gently touch your skin,
To look into your eyes and see deep within,
Just one warm embrace,
Just to look upon your face,
Just one little touch,
From the one I love so much,
If I could gaze upon your smile,
For just a little while,
To know that you miss me too,
As I'm thinking of you,
To hear the sound of you breathe,
Knowing you'll never leave,
To see you walk up to me,
Then embrace you tenderly,
To just be with the one who's sent my heart reeling,
And brought about this downpour of emotion and feeling,
I sit here alone in my office tonight,
And pray that somehow this all turns out right,
I've never been one to do more taking than giving,
I'm not well off but I work hard for a living,
I've told you many thoughts that weren't borrowed or bought,
And in lifetime, who would have thought,
That I have found someone who was just meant for me,
I can't explain the magic or why this should be,
But there is one thing that I know for certain,
That this just ain't over till one of us draws the final curtain,
For I've seen an angel and I want you to know,
If it's my choice to make, I'll never let you go,
Don't know what life holds, maybe there's no reason or rhyme,
To think you may be mine in a matter of time,
And though I cannot touch you and we are now apart,

I too am engaged to some one who is far away. Because of work he had to relocate in May 2006, I will be joining him in June 2007. We talk on the phone every night and visit once a month, but the distance is so hard to deal with. This poem really hit home for me and touched my heart. This poem really touched me. It explains exactly how I feel. My fiance was arrested this morning at about 9. We were suppose to get married today at five. He was arrested for something he didn't do. And I know everyone says that but it's true with us. We even have lots of evidence that he didn't do anything. His pyscho ex-girlfriend caused all of this. She called us and told us she'd stop the wedding even if she had to lie to his PO(he was in jail for 8 months and on probation for something she made up last year and he just got out in Feb. but he beat that case and just had probation) to get him arrested. And that's exactly what she did. This is really hard for me. Hes in there until at least June 9th, when he has court. His bond is $50,000 and the bondsman told me he would take $2,500 for a down payment. I really wish I had that money so he could get out. I can't eat, I can't sleep and I miss him so much. This poem describes exactly how I feel and I hope you don't mind but I'm sending this poem to him. This poem is awesome and I love it! Great Job on it! And thank you.

This poen touched me more than I can say. My tears fell like slow rain drops, not the slobering cry, but that of a cry with meaning that I can't explain. Although your explaination of the meaning of this poem to you, is the total opposite for me. (You are waiting on the one you love to join you, I am mourning the loss of one. ) I just recently (about 3 months ago) went through a breakupof a relationship, with a man that is still my best friend. We had issues that caused this, although I beleive they can be worked through eventually. We still have almost daily contact and he is wonderful to my 15 & 16 year old daughters. I thought this poem was great. This is exactly how I feel because my boyfriend is off at college in Chicago and I am 3 1/2 hours away.
