About the Poem
This poem is about getting my heart broken for the first time. It shows the sadness that occurs. It shows all that was shared and was eventually lost. First loves are the hardest lessons ever to be learned. Good luck with your first loves!
The Past |
by Katie Kompinski |
Now my love's gone, and my heart broke in two. One piece of me, and the other of you. The dreams we once had, have now all turned bad, and the memories have faded away. Memories looked upon have slipped through our tears And vanished with time to a world of fears. The touch once so tender the kiss once so warm have all turned to blistness and gone with the cold. No more wonderful times, No more lovely nights; Just faded memories that all turned to ice. |
