About the Poem
I was writing that poem some night. It is the first in English because my native language is German. Anyway, I was thinking about one girl who let me wait weeks before she made the final decision to stay with me or with her previous boyfriend. She told me all along that she'd been wanting to be with me. So, I was writing that poem about the things I would be and do if she would say "Yes".
Finally, after 2 months of waiting, she decided to stay with him.

If you say yes I'll be your dream If you say yes I'll be you shining sun If you say yes I'll be your oxygen If you say yes I'll be the one who makes you happy If you say yes I'll be the one who protects you If you say yes I'll be your star in the night If you say yes I'll be the light in the darkness of the night If you say yes I'll be the one who guides you home If you say yes I'll be your happiness in times of sadness If you say yes I'll stop the rain from falling down If you say yes I'll be everything you need If you say yes I'll be everything you want If you say yes I'll be your lover If you say yes I'll be your boyfriend If you say no I'll be the best friend you'll ever find. |
