About the Poem
A country guy wonders about the strange sense of "Comfort" he found in the City, getting to the point where he finds out these people as "deshumanized" ones. At the end, a hint and some friendly advice.
This poem was written on a napkin, on April 28, 1990 in a MacDonald´s located in a Mall in Panama City.
Deshumanized (Comfort) |
by Edilberto González-Trejos |
"Wrapped" inside walls, "trapped" under malls. "Comfort" drawns your human nature, you become a creature so much like a pawn. Serving your own device, deserving a tide of vice. A cloud of cold gides the Truth under the Foot of what you haven´t been told. Face the Sun, have some fun as a creature proud of his human nature |

I liked it because I feel related to it. The structure and the rhymes were excellent for me and I perceive some sense of humor, even though it seems to be a serious subject.
