About the Poem

My poem is about my sadness when I moved away from my long time friends. It is the first poem have written. Everyone Loves It!

To My Friends

Always there,
They always care.
Times taken for granted,
Now remembered.
The short times now cherished.

You never know,
How much they mean,
Till you think of the times you’ve spent

All of the good times,
And the bad.
Sorry there had to be bad.
You must know I miss you more,
More than my own blood.

Things we have done,
Places we have gone,
All in fun.
Now a reminder,
Of the times we spent.

I don’t know if you will ever know,
The way that I feel,
But you must know.
I love you so.

I had great friends where I lived. I took all that time spent with them for granted and now I regret every bad moment we had together. I wish I had a second chance.

Iam a freshmen in college about ready to start my sophmore year. In college, you tend to get attached to people more easily because you live with these people 24/7. I go to a colleg with about 150 people so it is a very close enviroment. In college, people tend to walk in and out of your life more than in highschool. You friends either drop out, transfer, or graduate. It is not like highschool because it not like you can just go down the road to visit them. Many of them live hours away. This poem is great because it really hit home for me

Your poem really touched me. I just moved away from the place I grew up at and it hurts. The bad thing is that I quit talking to alot of my friends before I moved because of a couple of things. I also quit talking to alot of people I didn't want but I felt I had to cause everyone hung out together. It's hard being somewhere you don't have any friends but it's even harder knowing I really don't have any friends back home either.

I really love your poem. It has touched me greatly, because I too recently moved from my friends of 13 years and feel great pain of leaving them. This poem explains all of my emotions that I feel about leaving. I'm puting your poem in my profile to show my friends how I feel. Thank you so much for righting such a great poem. I will treasure it always.

This poem rocks and I hope he puts more poems up. I know that it's hard to sometimes say the words that you need to say to your friends but sometimes you have too. This is the perfect way. I plan to give this poem to my friends because they will never truly know how much I care about them.!

As I read this poem I have learned not to take for granted all of the invitations I've received from my friends and turned them down; when I could have created another priceless memory to look back on.
