About the Poem

This poem is about how I feel toward a person I've grow to love. He doesn't know how deeply I care for him and I'm not sure he ever will.

Oceans

Like the ocean his depths are not fully known,
and his contents aren't fully calculated.
His soul is as beautiful as any sunset,
his heart so true God smiles upon him.
And his dreams so misunderstood, yet so brilliant.

His eyes could show me the universe, if only I could see.
And if only he could understand my depth is just as deep as his own,
if not deeper.

Yet we're worlds apart, we're just a touch away.

Jen, I absolutely fell in love with your poem called 'Oceans'! Comparing 'him' with the ocean made me feel a deep feeling that I can't even describe, yet all I want to do is read it over and over again. You have inspired me and I hope to read new poems like this in the near future!
